Thanks for posting that URL. I have the official SAAB shop manual for the 80's CIS fuel system, including the multi-colored diagrams, and it helped explain how the CIS system worked, particularly the control pressure as it effects the fuel/air mix. What I do know from reading the manual and what that volvo site relates is that there's very little you can do to the CIS system as far as tweaking goes without negatively effecting the function somewhere else down the line. It's pretty "dialed in" to it's limits. About the only thing I know of to increase acceleration performance is to selectively decrease the control pressure like with the boost enrichment (volvo) version of the wur, or direct the ECU to signal the modulator valve into it's 90%mode, like with butterfly valve throttle position sensor.
That said, I'm not sure what you mean when you say "capillary tube inside the fuel distributor"
