Hes my friend and I often fix his car because i like saabs and I like helping him out. the orginal garage in the first post (which I created for him) was mine. Ive rebuilt a few 900's and I too wasnt sure if the car could be driven on a bad water pump so I am guilty of wanting to know such a thing. Im not going to go into his finacial situation but I too have to pay such things like rent and food and bills, and If I had to pay someone everytime my 3 saabs broke down I would be in serious trouble. Even if my car blown a water pump and I had to pay for a tow and a new water pump (I can do it myslef in a hour and half) I too would have a hard time finding that money and making ends meet. And I have a good paying steady job. You can say they we shouldnt be driving these cars but thats not going to phase me cause I love them so much. We are young and dont have retirments funds like you old geezers. Im just saying cut mars some slack. Besides his car isnt worth the gas that is in it. Honestly, I tell him all the time to dump this thing. For $400-500 he can get a much safer relible saab then this thing he is driving. The whole time I was going to fix his car for him, still will. He just needs a tow to my house and a new water pump. But you have to repsect that could mean alot to some people.
