It will make your tires look like snow tires. Don't waste your money.
Extensive siping will make any tire behave like a snow tire- kind of mushy and imprecise. I accept this tradeoff in the snow on my snow tires because it means the sipes open up and bite into the snow, especially for ice braking. It also means I can kick peoples' butts.
Summer tires should be more precise than winter tires. Don't sipe it. It makes little or no difference in tread life and may make them wear out quicker in aggressive driving.
Tread machining was another fad from years past- cut down the tread so it won't squirm as much. Duhhhhh.... don't you think that shaving tread off a tire will reduce its useful life and be a total waste of resources???
If you want performance tires, either pay for them or get Kumhos. If you want snow tires, you get what you pay for.
