My wifes Jag behaves exactly like my SPG; if something minor is broken, like the remote, or one doorlock electrics are sc%$#&ed up it won't have another problem as long as I don't fix it. If I do get brave/determined/crazy ( it IS a jag) to fix the minor issues, something big will fail.
The most recent example being the passenger front outside door handle was almost impossible to open. All that was required, including the contribution in blood from sharp sheet metal was to adjust the linkage. The next day the rear lower control arm bearings failed on the drivers side. The car uses roller bearings instead of rubber bushing. Tha factory manual devotes 14 pages to the procedure...... including a complete alignment afterwards.
