On Friday night I was hit (driving my '93 900TC) head on (grill-to-grill) by a drunk in his mid-80s Ford LTD. Ouch! I was going 40 when he swerved into my lane. I slammed on the brakes but could not stop. He did not even try to stop. And wham. Airbag deployed. The cabin was filled with smoke (from airbag). But my two passengers (one in pass. seat and on in rear pass. side seat) and I were fine. I was not even sore the next day! Amazing! We all walked away w/o a scratch. The drunk driver also survived but w/ a very bloody nose (no seat belt). My car was most definitely totalled. Progressive has not cut me a check yet. The bonehead does not have insurance and was driving w/ a suspended license. Good thing for uninsured motorist coverage!

I must confess that I have left the Saab family. Yesterday I picked up a 2005 Mazda 3 (5 door). And I opted for the ABS and side air bag curtains. (You just never know!) I appreciate all the help you guys have given me since 1998 when I bought my Saab. Thanks Scott for moderating a wonderful BB.
