Yup, I suppose the hiccup should occur at any time. However sometimes if a wire is crimped it will only happen when the engine is at certain RPM levels, or when it moves a certain way.
Another thing I would check is your distributor rotor. When they burn through the resistance between tip and center contact will read Zero ohms and it should be 1k ohms. Check plug wires, dist cap, coil wire and connectors at night with a water spray bottle. Pull spark cover on valve cover. Look for any arcing.
