My $.02:
Option 1: Keep the Saab, trade in the Tacoma (assuming you aren't upside down on your loan), buy the vehicle you want.
Option 2: Keep the Saab, pay off the Tacoma, sell it, buy the vehicle you want.
Use the Saab when you want to save the beating on your new car, use the new car when you want to impress. If you kept the Tacoma as a 'beater', you will pay more for insurance and gas than you would with the Saab.
Think of it this way: the Saab is a fully depreciated economical car that is inexpensive to operate and maintain. The Tacoma is a partially depreciated utility vehicle that is more expensive relative to the Saab to operate and maintain.
