Michael, I aggree. The first couple of generation conversion kits sucked. Now conversions are very easy, and very reliable without leakage. I have one going on it's seventh year without any problems at all. I just checked it the other day, and it still hasn't leaked at all. Vsfoxe was misinformed about that hose leakage. The modern converion oils seal and condition the old hoses and seals, improving system leaks. The main problem out there with recent conversions is too much oil in the system. The 12 oz charge cans out there are almost twice the amount most systems require. Also people keep adding those Maxi-cool additives. They are simply oil. Use a small 4oz can when making a conversion, and add the small 2 oz Maxi-cools to bring you to your proper oil level. Best of luck.
