As to Euro etc not being Saab dealers, a lot of the auto manufacturers have been trying to get in on the aftermarket biz for years, by offering better discounts to shops, or selling to non-dealers. GM has been doing it for years with Delco etc, why wouldn't they with Saab? Funny thing is when I am shopping for VW parts at my local autoparts store, which carries most Beck Arnley, I will find many parts marked with the VW/Porshe OOOO official parts mark, often mixed in with parts from other sources - you can find often find the same bushing same part # same price in an India and German version!
The other thing is, if a company makes parts for Saab, that Saab puts in a Saab box and sells, I think that company is entitled to be called an OEM. There are some top rate companies, like Lobro, Sachs, Bosch, that certainly deserve that name. Then there are others, like Quinton-Hazel and Scanparts that certainly don't. So I go along with the Eeuroparts system. Genuine Saab, OEM (stuff made by Saab suppliers, but bought from them rather than from Saab, and aftermarket. I consider the first two interchangeable, but won't buy the third unless assured by a reliable source its good. And for critical part like NG900 clutch cables, I like the Saab box.
