I would guess you got water inside the ignition distributor cap and maybe around the spark plugs?
If the ignition distributor cap and rotor are original it might not be possible to save them but you need to install a new set. An old cap can trap water that you will never see, even if you blow dry it.
If the car have more then 60K miles you should have a new set of cap, rotor and plug wires anyway to be on the safe side.
