Couple reasons why I ask. Lately when already cruising along in 5th and a passing lane comes and I try to accelerate (still in 5th, gotta love turbos) when I press the gas the rpms jump up, the car loses power then regains. I can carefully continue to accelerate and speed up but there is potential of it doing again. Obvisouly would think clutch but it is only a couple of years old and was never beat on or driven wrong.
Secondly I posted a while back that I found the remains of a chewed up metal shim/washer in my tranny case after draining oil. I was warned that my tranny was done and I shouldnt be driving it. Well thousands of miles later it is still shifting excellent and no pinion noise whatsoever. Could this be causing it to "slip" inside. Or am I over looking things and my clutch is prolly bad?
