A new windshield was installed on my 1980 turbo on Thursday. The next day it is split in the center from top to bottom. Saab windshield has a lot of curve so I suspect the glass was not shimmed adequately. I suspect the shop will replace the glass but I'd like to avoid a repeat.
I have the Saab shop manual for the body. I didn't notice anything there about installing a windshield.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks about installing windshield glass properly on a Saab or is there a link for this? Or may be the installer should know already and there's nothing I need to add.
