that light indicates a problem with the air bag system. the bag will not deply when that light is on. either the contact ring in the steering column is bad, or the steering wheel was removed and the bag unplugged, and never reset. best bet is to get to a dealer or indy and have them reset the light for you. if it comes back on, then go digging for more issues.
