Hi group, back w/ an unsolved problem. Bought an alt. from a '90 900t
to install in an '86 900t. The voltage reg.from the '90, numbered
1 197 311 022 has worn down brushes. We have a brand new Bosch reg.
numbered 1 197 311 028 and also the voltage reg. from the '86 900t
numbered 1 197 311 008 w/ new brushes. We read somewhere that the
voltage regs. are interchangeable? If so which one will replace 022?
028 or 008? Or should we just put new brushes in 022. Hope we haven't
been too confusing! We need our beloved '86 900t since motion lotion
has passed $3.00 per. Our '92 Pathfinder is alright but it only gets
10-13mpg:-O. Thanks for your consideration. George
