The camber is adjustable. It is done using a series of thin shims which are placed under the mounting points for the upper a-arm. You will be able to see them if you open the hood.They don't tend to just fall out or shift (unlike the macpherson struts in my old vw which had bolts that could loosen up and put the car out of alignment).
Again, I would look very closely at that lower control arm and also check those ball joints out (you can find the procedure on this board). Look for distoration of the a-arm and (particularly if you live in the salt belt) corrosion and distoration around the lower a-arm mounting points. It would be important to me to get to the cause of the camber problem so you know that you can fix it correctly (and permanently).
