Hope the next 70K are smooth sailing. At least you got to see it happen; my 83T's odometer turned 250k when I wasnt looking - got home and it said 250,004 *doh*. The actual mileage is alot higher - Last month I went from Albany to Syracuse and back ~220 mi round trip, and the odo said I had gone 15.8 miles.
Anyways, the HG job is maybe a 6.5 out of 10 degree of difficulty. I had the most trouble with the bolts that hold the oil return line onto the turbo. Miserable little bastards. If you have some cushion in the tool budget, measure the size of the nuts that secure the oil return into the block (big - 30 mm maybe) and buy cheap wrenches to loosen them - I say cheap because you may find that cutting or bending them to size helps. The EEuroparts.com head gasket kit (Elring) has all of the gaskets you listed above, and then some (assuming the 8v and 16v kits are basically the same).
While the car is under the knife, you might want to replace L and R motor mounts - a job you do NOT want to tackle unless you already have alot of the interfering stuff out of the way (which you will). Ditto for upper A-Arm bushings on both sides, a once in a lifetime type job (the opportunity for which just jumped out). Dont bother with the A-Arm bushes unless you have a press or access to one though.
As for special tools - I'm not sure, but your head bolts may be male torx (T-60, I think).
Good luck, have fun with the job (move the radio and mini-fridge to the garage!)
