I worked for an automotive distributor, and got to buy KYB's at distributor price. STAY AWAY FROM THE GAS-ADJUST version of KYB's. The same cmplaints that John listed have been heard over & over on this board. The Gas- Adjusts are fine for other cars, and KYB truly makes a quality product, but for some reason, they have not had good experiences with the C900.
HOWEVER, the KYB's that I used were the newer version GR2, which is more like the OEM shock, just a tad stiffer to compensate for spring wear. I have put these on 3 C900's with great success. Great ride, no failures, car handled like new, despite the 210,000 miles.
AVOID: GAS-ADJUST, Part #KG4532 for front, KG5558 for rear
Ok to BUY: GR-2 343023 for front, 343024 for rear
Also, in the year I worked at the automotive warehouse, I never took back 1 KYB shock as defective the whole time
