George, the wire at the ig. switch that becomes the yellow wire at the starter motor is Yellow and red striped. The power to the ig. switch is the gray wire which is directly as far from the key slot as posible. pull those two off and connect them ane see if you starter motor turns the engine (put er in neutral first).
