It makes 165 HP, 5 more than your -599 box. I've never been able to tell the differnce between them.

The later SPG's have a 175 HP APC Box. I forget its model #.

The Actual "Red Box" is red. I have one. I can't much of a performance differnce between it either, but it looks really sweet in the engine bay.

None of the APC boxes from SAAB are very exciting. If you want your car to reallt scat, you need to have someone build a box for you. There is more to it than twisting the F & P pot, but not much. If you are handy with a soldering iron, and have a radio shack nearby, you can have a 18psi monster in a couple hours work. Google SAAB APC mods. You'll find a bunch of different mods.

Before you mess with the box, get your Base boost set to at least 5psi(halfway through the yellow). If your base boost is too low, nothing you do will work right.
