If it's really jammed such that you can't slide it back about 1/4 of the way (need about that much in order to unhook the top colored panel and access it from the top) - then yeah you can take the headliner out. Then there are maybe dozen and half bolts holding up the outer housing tray of the sunroom system. It's easy, just may need an extra pair of hands to drop it down. The design is simple enough. fyi - regarding putting the headliner back up. This would be a good time to do a new one if you've any doubts about it's condition. Secondly, probably will need to run some masking tape or such around the loose fabric that will go under the trim at sunroof opening (in headliner), so as to have something to hold onto and stretch it back tight before snapping the sunroof opening trim back in place. Then just gently trim off the masking tape afterward. see also the TSN FAQ on headliner, there's some description of the sunroof design as well.
