SPG panels from '89 onto '86, opinions?

Ok, I can get a set of panels at a fairly good price. But I wanted some opinions. I want to put these panels from an '89 onto my '86 900T, but I don't want to lose my blunt nose 'cause I love the blunt nose look. So how will it look if I just put on the side door panels and leave the standard front and back bumper? I think it will look okay, but I'm not sure. The other thing I could do would be to later try to piece together the front and back bumper SPG panel pieces from an '85/86.
Of course, the other thing I could do would be to lose my blunt nose and totally convert over all around. If I decide to go this route, do I need the entire bumper and front or just the bumper covers?
Thank guys for all advice and opinions.
Oh yeah, the other thing I could do would be to put them on my '92 900S cvt., but my wife is going to make me sell that soon, but it might make it easier to sell.
