...Usually head gaskets are easy as silk. I have never seen a warped head, even though I have read about them. Saab head gaskets have an intrinsic weakness. In 16 valves they fail between cylinder 1 and the timing chain. I would anticipate 8 valve cars fail there too, although I know squat about 8 valves. Remember, the starters are in a different place, the tranny ( I am not sure) may be different, the wheel lug pattern differs from post 1987 cars, and the fuel lines to the injectors frequently break as by this time they are brittle. They are different injector lines than 16 valve cars.
