In any case, since you overheated it I'd probably replace the thermostat.
Rumor is they die every two years or so.
Otherwise any number of things.
Just because the system was flushed doesn't mean the radiator isn't bad/plugged. Rad should flow what, 20gpm at X head...need a test rig, see your radiator shop.
I dunno about saabs, but there are cases of corroded/cavitated pump impellers that have no fins or impellers that have disconnected from the pump shaft and won't spin.
I've had overheating on my 87 900T with a bad expansion tank cap as well as a bad/open thermostat switch on the radiator. When the AC is on and driving both radiator fans, the temp stays at 1/4 or so.
