So .. car is a 92 900TC. Clarion radio head is dying. Yeah I know it was junk to start with! On my old 84 900T it was pretty simple to swap in a $120 Sony with a DIN cage.
Haven't dug in yet but I think these later models may have a separate AMP so it would mean running speaker wires to the head. That doesn't sound like fun for the rears!
The wreckers have used Clarions for $125, so I'm trying to figure out is it's worth it to put the Sony or similar in. Obviously I'd just junkthe CD/EQ if I did that.
Anyone been down this path on a later model 900?
Thanks
