MM,
Yes, engine to tranny gasket. I still do it the old fashioned way with the steel gasket (part #75 14 946, $9-$14 at site sponsors) and RTV at the front and rear like the old Saab manuals show. I've never had that fail so I stick with it. Lots of guys are just using anaerobic sealant (Loctite 518) now with no gasket at all and say it works fine. Consider putting a new clutch shaft seal and axle seals on that tranny before it goes in. A complete tranny gasket kit, part #74 96 003, is about $50.00 from site sponsors. If you decide to do any of that go through the posts on this board as there are lots of helpful tips. The clutch shaft seal is particularly resistant to removal. When (if) you pull the inner driver assemblies to replace the seals and o'rings remove and replace one at a time, put the shims back right where they came from and put thread sealant on the bolts (Permatex #2 Form-a-gasket is my favorite for this). Good luck
