Sometimes, when you go from one tire to another, you'll lose some feel. I don't know why this is, but I had the same experience when switching from Yokohama ES100s to Kumho SPTs -- just didn't have the same straight-line feel. (SPTs are a better tire, BTW.)
You can adjust toe yourself by turning the tie rod ends: 1/5 of a turn equals 1mm of toe at the RIM, at the same height as the axle (per Saab front suspension shop manual). You'll need to devise a method to accurately screw the tie rod ends in/out.
Before you go ahead and do this, you might check the tire pressures -- if some monkey put way too much pressure in them, you can get a floaty steering feeling.
AND......I recommend taking the car back to the shop because if they screwed up the toe, then you'll wreck the tires quickly (in your case, the inner edges). If the guy running the alignment rig is incompetent, then your alignment ain't gonna be right.
For more info on alignment stuff, google "DIY alignment" -- there's really no reason why you can't get very accurate, repeatable alignments yourself. You might just set up a DIY rig to see what kind of toe setting you got before heading back to the shop.
