Hey Don,
Sounds to me like you might have an extra degree of negative camber. Generally this does improve handling a bit, as when you go into a turn, since the wheels are tipped 'inwards' towards the middle of the car, when the tire rolls a bit and the cars weight shifts, the contact patch of the tire will be larger (more on-center). The downside usually manifests itself in the manner youre describing; inner tire wear. I'm sure you're aware, but knowing that I myself forget more often than not, make sure the tires are fully inflated to prevent outside edge wear. In regards to balancing...I would hope that regardless of tire size, the shop that installed the tires balanced them for you, as no two tires have the same weight/weight distribution characteristics, and it takes such a small amount to throw off the balance at high speeds. Could also be alignment, but since you didn't mention that I assume its been done - may be worth having redone. Anyway, hope that helped and best of luck.
