Thanks for the input, have already tried these things and no luck. I did this on my son's ABS equiped 90 Jetta GLI and had no problem as well. But something is preventing the ABS pump from continuing to run long enough to clear out the air & fluid.
Right now car is jacked up on one side, so I will put back on ground. The VW had to have weight on the rear in order to work properly, maybe this applies to the Saab as well. If it doesn't work, may try the pressure bleeder on the master cylinder that you suggested.
