Is there a black plastic shroud concealing the flexplate? The timing window and timing mark are in that shroud. Possibly someone has removed the shroud. If that's the case there is also a timing mark cast into the aluminum end plate of the engine but you'll have to move a bunch of stuff to get a good look at it. It's right where you'd expect it to be, 12:00 high.
If the black plastic shroud is in place then the port and mark are also right at 12:00 but down near the lower edge of the shroud. The port is sort of rectangular and the mark is just a slot in the plastic. Cheers
