or, as you suggest, 4x4's, anything that will give you enough clearance to get under the car to access the bolts--- you just have to have the suspension loaded when you tightn them. If you don't load the suspension, the rubber bushings will wear out rather quickly. And, it can also be difficult to fit the panhard bar back in place, be prepared to have to move things around with a big pry bar as you slide the bolts back in.
