Either I had a sticky thermostat, or the 89 will keep you warmer, especially when your radiator is in good shape. I think I may also need to swap for the warmer thermoswitch this year. I can manually cut in both of the fans whenever I want.
Wranglers are capable, but usually all wrong for snow and slush. A 4.3 liter engine and an automatic may move the bare pavement behind you well, but in the snow it's weight balance, weight balance, weight balance.
