Obiviously these particular instruction reference new parts but used can be supplemented. Feel free to use this, your dealers also have access to this info in IRIS. (PIC4076 Cruise Inoperative or Intermittent )
A more robust solution involves retrofitting a module from a 1987 thru 1991 (part # 95 60 905) model year 900. This module also has a different connector and pin size which will require replacement. These parts are still available and can be found in EPC and are also listed below. The early model cruise module from a 1984-1986 (part # 85 87 016) cannot be used, as the vehicle speed sensor in the speedometer has a signal that is not compatible with these.
. The technician will need to match the corresponding circuits from module to module. There are nine pins to swap. These schematics can be found in 3:2 Electrical System shop manual.

Below is a table that indicates the pins that will need to be swapped from the Original to the Retro connector.

Original Connector Retro Connector
pin-1 to pin-1 single pole conn.
pin-3 to pin-2
pin-4 to pin-6
pin-5 to pin-3
pin-6 to pin-7
pin-7 to pin-4
pin-8 to pin-8
pin-9 to pin-1 single pole conn.
pin-10 to pin-1 8 pole conn.
pin-11 to pin-5

Parts list:
1 95 60 605 module
1 85 33 665 housing 8-pin
8 91 20 783 terminal for 8-pin
1 85 41 229 housing 1-pin
1 85 41 229 terminal for 1-pin
