so, i would guess you ruptured the bpv while toying with all the boost. since this was while 'testing' out your injectors,etc, i think it was a coincidence.
faulty bpv=RELEASE OF BOOST, at least when it reaches a threshold.
so, yes, plug up the bpv, and that will solve that (1" pipe with a block in it).
ref BOV on C900. i think what Gary is suggesting is that a small amount of metered air esacping the system is ok, and you will find the threshold of the system by adding those washers. On principle it's not ok for this system, but a small amount will be ok, or at least, not enough to stall car.
i question the principle, though, as the purpose of bpv is to remove the shockwave that occurs when the throttle is suddenly shut on high boost pressures, which is a problem for the turbine blades.
Now, Gary will know more than me..... and i trust his judgement on this, which leaves me in a position where i can only say i would like to hear how your turbo is in 20,000 miles....
hope this works out for you-your list of potential diagnostics seems like a good process to go through.
