Most likely your crankshaft seal (front seal, though at rear of engine, AKA oil pump cover seal) is leaking which has provided plentiful oil and may be why your crank pulley rubber let go (though this can also happen with no oil present).
Anywaay since you've got to pull your crank pulley to replace it it's also time to do the crank seal, and most shops pull the oil pump cover to do this and so also replace the oil pump cover o-ring seal at the same time.
As Ari and nick say it's vital to fix the crank pulley immediately. A slipping crank pulley also means the engine isn't spinning the water pump or alternator at full speed and you can have overheating and charging problems till fixed as well. And if your year and model (I didn't notice what you have) has the hall sensor pickup for the ignition mounted down there it can get torn up and that's also big bucks.
Good luck.
