I'm guessin that you did the thing where you inserted an item to limit the Upper A arm travel? If you didn't, and if you did the upper A arm Ball joint first... there's your answer on that. a variety of items can be used, I've even used a couple of combo wrenches, the open end as it was larger and taller, to block the A arm from coming all the way to the stop. Why is this necessary? The travel that the Upper and Lower A arms has is *different* The upper Arm can travel down more that the Lower arm, the knuckle is a fixed size with no adjustments in it, this means that the upper Arm, being driven down by the spring, will keep everything under tension. Blocking the upper A arm before it travel is limited gives enough play to unbolt everything and *not* be under spring tension.
