Making 2 Saabs into 1

I am a proud owner of two Saab 900 classics. One is a 1991 with a dead automatic transmission and beautiful red body, the other is a 1987 with a well cared for drive train that is rusting out. The manual transmission is brand new and it drives like a dream. I was wondering if anyone on here knows if it is possible to put the drivetrain of my 1987 900 into my 1991 so I had a good working MANUAL Saab 900 that is fun to drive. Plus I love all the features my '91 has that the '87 does not!
If you know anything reply back to me, I will keep checking back. Thanks.
