Question the first: I haven't tackled the glovebox lid yet. I wish there was a way to make the black plastic "skin" on there tighten up- your glovebox lid has the age-induced wrinkles that I'm going to get if I keep worrying about the rust on my '88. (ooooh, fancy!)
Secondly, each bulb in the auxiliary gauge cluster is replaceble by itself. One is a different type. No, I don't know why. On mine, the temperature gauge sensor is shot, but I can get a replacement from egauges.com or however they spell it. Thanks for the reminder; I'll order one. If you're curious, measure the resistance between the sensor wire and ground and figure out if you have a bad ground or a bad sensor. The sensor threads into an L-shaped bracket which has to provide a good ground to the chassis. If it doesn't, it will read wrong or not at all. Unfortunately, the voltmeter on mine is also fried. NEED SPARE!!!
