no clutch switch that I can think of... did you get the yellow wire plugged back onto the starter? It's the wire that tells the solenoid time to go to work... IF you are sure that the wire is plugged in... make a four foot long jumper of number 12 or 14 gauge wire and put a connector on the end of it that will plug onto that same spade. plug that wire onto the spade. make sure the car is in NEUTRAL and take the other end other end of the wire, strip 1/2 off, and get over the battery with it, ok for wire to go directly across engine. KEY OFF please, in neutral. touch the bitter end of the wire to the POSITIVE side of the battery and listen for click. then turn key to run position (where all of idiot lights are on...) and touch again. If the car cranks and wants to start then either you have an issue with the start switch and suggest you take the car back and get your mechanic to fix it (free would be a good amount). the only other item would be way too much resistance in the starter circuit and do the 9000 mod with a secondary relay.
