I am on my second C900 Vert. Mine is a 94 commemorative. I had the top down yesterday in NYC and I love the puzzled looks I get from people when I am driving around with an open top in sunny 50 degree weather. I tell them if it's sunny, why not? That's what floor heat and heated seats were invented for. Next, you will find yourself giving other C900 owners 'the nod'--which is a sign of acknowledgement and respect of their ownership of a Saab like yours. They too probably know the painful cost to replace a 5-speed tranny, laughing to themselves when the valet guy can't find the ignition or window switches because he never thought to look in-between the seats, the random 'how much you want for your car' from guys who wish they owned one too. If you see one on the road anymore, you know the driver truly loves and cherishes their car--if they wanted basic transportation, they would buy an Accord. It is not a car that will impress younger (say under 30) women generally speaking, but a C900 turbo vert does seem to attract 40 something women in a "that hot English professor I hooked-up with back in college 20 years ago had a Saab like that" kind of way. More interesting, are the guys who mod their 900's and get crazy amounts of HP out of that 1.9L + turbo. There are custom jobs out there putting out 300hp--but they are almost all hardtops.
Welcome to the C900 vert fraternity.
