I have just replaced the antenna. Not too hard to do. Sometimes, but not always, you can remove all the old pieces and just insert the new antenna and jump the motor while its mounted back into the car. I've done three so far. Be able to disconnect the power when antenna get close to the metal tube an align into the hole, then finish mounting the cap nut The funny thing is through out the different year the only thing different is the motor mounting systems. Motors are all the same. (Most)
