Stan,
The NGK BCP-7EV or BCP-6ES where originally specified for most 900 to 1993. The V plug is a fine wire gold palladium center electrode which gave better service life. The ES type plugs will need to be serviced more frequently but provide better overall spark performance. The 6 is a little hotter plug than the 7 but doubt that you would see any real difference for normal driving.
Best Regards,
Gary K at SWEDISH DYNAMICS,INC.
