AIC POS is not Pesky for the "P" -- it is a PIECE OF SH*T. You must have not been on this board for long to say that it is a great device. Probably the number 1 complaint for those that are afflicted by it. Oh, and let me make another correction. EXPENSIVE PIECE OF SH*T.....
If you run any mods associated with injectors, FPR, EPROM, then a manual idle control is all you need. It is like others in this string suggest a cold start assistant. I still run AC on the car, so I put in the idle circuit for when the AC kicks on and bumps up the idle by 200 rpm when the compressor is actuated. You can get one of these off an 8 valve or even a later model 16V that is equiped with the manual valve.
And throw away that WD40 - it is the most overrated and damaging stuff in your shop cabinet.
