Need help with a 2.0 to 2.1 head swap

When putting the new 2.1 head on tonight, it wouldn't line up on the timing chain end. I had to take the bracket off that connects the motor mount bracket and the head (P/S pump tensioner also bolts to it).
Now with the head properly seated and bolted down, I can't re-fit this bracket. It seems to be about 1/2 inch too tall. Anyone know if this bracket is different on the 2.1 or could something else be going on?
