Well seems to me if the key turns and the starter clicks the ignition switch is actuially being engaged by the key gear(s)It is possible I guess that the wqires on top of the actual switch got wet, but remebering the center console I doubt it. Anyway remove the center console (CC) which is about a 10 minute process. Remove the bellows at fron to center console. Remove the 2 rear torx screws which are beneath the rear ashtray. Then remove the two small torx in the front of the CC have a magnet handy as these like to fall down in lower area. Then the hardest part is working the CC past the park brake handle and the shifting position piece It can be done. Then look for any pooled water on top of switch . If none it likely isn't the issue. Take a good digital picture of where colored wires go or draw a picture. remove and spray some WD40 as it help remove water. replace wires and test. If no go then see if shifter position switch is wet. Wet vac rest of car, especially beneath rear seat. Use an electric space heater to help dry rest of car interior. Pull door step plates and ceck for water beneath carpet and padding. You don't want rust. Clean your body drain lines. Let us know what the results were. Best regards
