dimmer than used to be. ('92 S Conv-have owned for 10 years 150K miles) It has been running well otherwise. However, just started slow cranking speed lately. Put new battery in today that I had on hand but same thing and even slower cranking after driving today. Now won't start at all barely turns over like a dead battery symptom but battery is fully charged. I was able to roll start it and drove home. When it barely cranked I noticed a burning plastic electrical smell that seemed to come from the ignition module area. After roll starting it and driving back home,it drove fine, only problem was again, the dim headlights. But, when arriving at home I smelled the burning plastic electrical smell even worse than before and I don't think it was coming from ignition module area this time. Only had one other problem that was fixed after the rebuilt tran installed by Auto Shop in Appleton, WI (exlusively Saab). The car had stalled at 40 mph and no start after. Found out it was a loose ground wire for fuel injection module. Any ideas? I was thinking originally ignition module however, then would this really smell when only driving and not trying to start? Same thing with starter - correct?
Currently own 4 Saabs - have owned Saabs exclusively last 20 years so I've
dealt with many issues over the years - however this one has me stumped.
