1991 900s stopped running/no start

Last week I drove down to the corner mart to put some air in the tires and my car stopped running. Seemed like spark, as it just turned off.
I've confirmed no spark and I went through most of the Bentley Manual checks for the ignition system and they have all checked out good.
Coil resistance, voltage at coil, voltage to EZK, Voltage to amplifier, dist looked normal, battery is on the charger, so it's cranking very fast.
Basically I'm stumped. Does this have anything to do with replacing the shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends, repacking and replacing all CV boots, Upper and lower control arm bushings, repainting suspension parts, stopping rust in the wheel wells, and all the other care I've lavished on the car this month? Do I have to throw down the empty boxes on the floor and tell the car it's grounded and going to sit in the backyard until it gets it's act together? Maybe I should take away the garage and let it sit in the rain to think about it's actions.
Any suggestions?
