Lookin l;ike it is the crank sensor Posted by Bob_SAAB_101 [Email] (#460) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bob_SAAB_101) on Mon, 7 Sep 2009 14:37:44 In Reply to: That's the truth but.........., Frank Myers, Sun, 6 Sep 2009 14:04:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Thanks to Frank I was able to get my 88 distributor to start the car when it stalled again.
It seems that it works with the distributor but there is hesitation so I'm afraid to use it. I'm wondering wether or not the hesitation is from interference as the Bently shows this as a shielded cable. In fact it shows the ground wire as the shield.
I also notice that the NEW hose from the water pump to the heater distribution has a slight hole in it at the seam and it seems to be leaking right into the Crank sensor!. Not sure if this has anything to do with my problem but it might. Gonna change the hose out at any rate.
Again, thanks to all who have helped me in this issue./
