I was laughing when I read this.."how could she..." and thinking all sorts of things.
Of course, about an hour later my lady calls - she can't get the locking gas cap off (aftermarket). I give her detailed instructions (unlock it and use your hand to turn it). She can't do it.
She is freaking out because she's thinking she'll run out of gas. I tell her that's not possible, it had a half tank the day before & she hasn't driven it very far.
I'm in a meeting, but 2 hours later I get out & go to rescue her.
The best part(s)?
1) When I got there the gas cap was unlocked. She just hadn't thought to actually turn it with her hand.
2) The tank was half full.
**sigh**
