1. Try replacing the oil sensor. It is a cheap part. My experience is that, when the sensor goes bad, the light never comes on, but it is possible that it got oil soaked and is now frozen or shorted. It happened that way once on a chevy I had, I was terrified to drive it with the oil light on, but a mechanic said he could see oil pumping at the valve covers. Changed the sensor and all was well.
2. A hole can cause the problem by messing up the reading at the O2 sensor. I'm not sure if it is the entire problem, but it's not good.
3. Cat can go bad, replacement is usually the only way to know without test equipment. I think that is the "Test Pipe" official purpose..
