can u see the water coming in from the windshield Posted by vvack0matic [Email] (#1443) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vvack0matic) on Wed, 20 Jan 2010 10:05:24 In Reply to: Glass woes, Steve, Tue, 19 Jan 2010 10:45:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
might be an added feature the 93 900 came with, while driving in the rain the passenger gets a shower, be quite nice for the driver to hand the passenger a bar of zest. i say keep the spray!!
not to through a curve ball here but is the 900 have a sun roof, maybe maybe not... i don't know so i asked anyhow id do the job those guys are going to do for far less, somewhere in the round about figure of 5 bucks, or in your case perhaps free with the odds and ends you have in your kitchen odds and ends drawer.
I'm guessing you cant visually see the water coming in so the job those window repair people are going to do is going to go something like this...
grab a screw driver and pull the rubber surround off the front of the windshield edges, then grab a caulking gun with clear silicon caulk, caulk the edges of the window, and before the caulk drys push the rubber surround back in,.. and oh one last thing.. charge you ... 85bucks for 10min worth of work and 1/8th a tube of clear silicone caulk... (WHAT A DEAL!!)
BUT just know if the car has a sunroof everything changes.
